Mindful Movement Centre - The StudioThe Mindful Movement Pilates and Yoga Centre is located in the heart of the city, just minutes from Bay subway station.

With lots of natural light and a warm friendly environment, our centre is a peaceful haven in the middle of the bustling city. Our pilates studio is fully equipped with reformers, stability chairs, a trapeze table (cadillac), as well a variety of small equipment.

We are on the north west side of Bay and Scollard in Unit 301 of 68 Scollard

our philosophy

Our core philosophy is to look for ways to live with a pain-free, graceful, fit and flexible body - even as we grow older.

Anyone who has seriously looked into Pilates and Yoga, will be aware that there are practitioners who right into their 80s and even 90s have the most amazingly flexible, strong bodies.

We believe you can achieve this kind of body even if you are now unfit, out of condition, and out of practice. If you commit to a careful, slow, sensible and sensitive program of movement - or what we call Mindful Movement - then, in time, you will see change.

Mindful Movement Centre - About UsIn 2001 ballet dancer Melissa Bierstock founded From the Center Pilates Studio. Her intention was to create a studio that provided the highest level of professional instruction in an encouraging and positive environment.

As the new director, I will maintain these high standards. I have been studying Pilates since I was in my early teens and I'm totally committed to teaching Pilates and Yoga at the safest and most expert levels.

We will continue to have small class sizes, focusing on individual attention, and helping our clients realise their full potential.

We are committed to provide a nurturing, supportive environment in which you can relax, stretch, heal and achieve an optimal level of pain-free physical fitness.

We have a background and expertise in creating programs designed to help you reduce and manage stress, arthritis, pre and post natal fitness, post surgical rehabilitation and breast cancer rehabilitation.
